I've not installed anything other than a new video card and driver for it. My computer operates fine as it always has. I tried searching for TAP, but there is nothing.

I have to log off Windows 7 and back on, but I get the same message. After it says "Failed to start" it won't let me login. What do I do? I paid for service and it's not working. I don't use it that often so after awhile I renewed it for another 3 days, and now this time I paid for another 3 days, which was probably last night. I had AirVPN for a month, then renewed it for 3 days. The methods listed here of terminating/removing the program don't require any extra software, although there are freeware packages that can help you more quickly/simply identify where a program is running from.Don't mean to hijack your thread, but also don't think I should start another.

Note the name of the process that's running and search your machine for the literal name (that is, including the file extension).

Right click on the program and click "Go to process".

Look for the program in the Applications tab.

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to load the task manager.
